More Great Costume Con Capers

This is video from the San Fran WonderCon that took place on the 1st through 3rd of April. Talk about variety! This is from the first day, courtesy of SlashFilm.com, but they have one for Saturday, too, that’s a little bolder, saucier, and sassier. Be sure to check it out!

Slashfilms explains, “San Francisco’s WonderCon is known to many as the little brother convention to San Diego’s massive Comic-Con. I remember a few years ago being surprised at just how few people dressed up for the Bay-area con. But in recent years, WonderCon has been growing in size and more and more attendees have begun dressing up as their favorite comic book, sci-fi, horror, video game and anime characters. Mark Day has compiled awesome video compilation showing you the many costumed geeks at this year’s WonderCon.” I’m sure he meant the term “costumed geeks” lovingly. These days, being geek is oh so chic!

SFGate has a video clip from the Green Lantern panel with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively promoting the new movie. Unfortunately, Reynolds was not sporting his Green Lantern costume. Though some are probably more interested in what kind of costume Lively might be donning in the film, while playing Carol Ferris, who comic fans will remember has an villainous alter-ego, Star Sapphire. “While Star Sapphire's star logo can be spotted on Ferris' flight helmet in the trailer, there's been no hint that Lively will appear in costume as the villainess in the movie.” Says Reelz Channel.com But certainly they’re planning for a sequel!

Green Lantern opens June 17, but in the meantime, there is sure to be plenty of excitement built at:
