So at the beginning, Sumika is with that guy and she’s touring the university with him. I’m not sure if Sumika knows what her dad has done, but she did think how sudden it was that her dad told her to tour the school with this guy she just met. Then also her mind wanders to that point where she ran away from Kazama…
Then they enter the uni karate dojo and she happens to meet an acquaintance. Remember that girl in Chapter 3 (not sure) who challenged her to a duel?
Anyhoo, to Kazama and co. – Kiyori mistakingly wears a uniform because she thought they were having a club activity, but anyway they were actually supposed to plan a surprise birthday party for Sumika. Kazama intends to confess to Kiyori-chan about her feelings toward Sumika. Suddenly Kiyori grabs her shoulders, and they were thinking ‘maybe there’s no need to explain because she prolly already knows’ (literal translation in the manga is: “Th-this….explanation time can be eliminated?” In the next page Kiyori laughs and says “That’s right—hey, hey, hey, this time how cute is this girl?? I’m sure she’s veeeery cute..is this one world class? World level?” Kazama’s just ^^; and asks Tomoe if she should just do it next time, and Tomoe suggests nope. Kiyori then asks where Sumika is and Kazama explains she’s on a university tour, and they reflect how everyone’s thinking about how they’re at that stage in life now.
I’m gonna summarize pages 12-14: Sumika is actually quite popular with the university karate students because of her skills and victories. Regarding that guy with the water bottle: she remembers him as someone she previously defeated during an All-Japan Karate tournament (she doesn’t finish saying it; the guy recalls also and chokes on the water he’s drinking). The karate students suggest they spar…
With the way things turned out, Kazama tells Tomoe that she will decline on the planned surprise party for Sumika. I’m not really sure about this one, but with the way Tomoe reacts this might be it. Then Miyako says something like “Here you go again…if you’re going to say “It’s ok” then there’s no problem with that…but are you alright with the way things are with you and that incompetent four-eyes??” Kazama insists it’s ok, and Tomoe understands that somehow, hopefully, things will be alright with those two (lovebirds).
Back to the dojo, skipping the exhaustion part, Sumika has that happy/satisfied look on her face, prolly because she’s rarely/never had any sempais and studying in this dojo seems like fun. Then one of the senior students suggests a kumite (sparring for all the students), and Sumika just freaking gleams with excitement.
In the next panel that follows, I guess I’ll say it here now…I’ve finally confirmed a theory about that Keioh Uni Karate club guy that visited Sumika and her dad >.< He is actually a candidate for a FUTURE FREAKING SON-IN-LAW!!!!! Let’s breathe properly on that for a moment.FUTURE FREAKING SON IN LAW!!!!On another note this may spice up the storyline. And speaking of spicing things up, Semimaru hears about it and then tells Tomoe. Tomoe answers with, “Well, it’s just about this dojo.” And Tomoe, with ALL HER AWESOMENESS continues with “However, it’s just another obstacle to Murasame-kun and Kazama-kun’s romance.” BAMF spills again the second time!Semimaru says she’ll go home for today. Tomoe’s thoughts, not too sure on this part: “Oh my…but eventually maybe they’ll have to give up. It’s a mismanagement (on my part). I wanted to make things festive too….”Sumika’s text message on Kazama’s cellphone: “Will be on the train station soon. Nooo, I’m tired ^^;)Last panel: “Oh, where’s Sumika-san?” “She already went home.”The text on the right-hand gutter reads, “Eh? Adopted son-in-law candidate!? Another trouble!”Next chapter comes up on May 27 (Friday)!Wow that was long I haven’t even eaten breakfast yet o.o
