Their blog has just featured a fun post for residents in the Dallas Texas area.
Rock and Rowl at the North Branch library in Denton, Texas will be hosting the upcoming event “Voldermort can’t stop the rock!” The invitation invites Harry Potter fans and cosplay enthusiasts to “join us for an afternoon of rocking and Rowling because wizard rock is sweeping the nation…”
This event is a sort of celebration of the new Harry Potter release The Last Enemy is Death. The stereotype of the little old quiet library won’t be one that holds water during the July celebration. The event is an all ages event provided at no cost to attendees and will feature songs about “everyone’s favorite Hogwarth’s hero.”
Cosplay lovers young and old are invited to dress up as their favorite book character or Harry Potter character during the event. The faint of heart can even simply sport a subtle Gryffindor tie.
Can’t make it to the Dallas library event? The cosplay, anime, and fan fiction industries are alive and well throughout Texas, so feel free to join up with some of the many meetup groups in the state whenever possible.
