Final Fantasy VIII (ファイナルファンタジーVIII, Fainaru Fantajī Eito?) is a console role-playing game developed and published by Square (now Square Enix) for Sony's PlayStation in 1999 as part of the Final Fantasy series. It was released for Microsoft's Windows-based personal computers in 2000. The game's story focuses on a group of young mercenaries who are drawn into an international conflict, and seek to protect the world from a sorceress manipulating the war for her own purposes.


Final Fantasy VIII is a departure from many traditional standards of the Final Fantasy series. It is the first game in the series to consistently use realistically proportioned characters, the first to feature a vocal piece as its theme music, and one of the only titles to deviate from the series' traditional means of increasing a character's power. In addition, it does not have a magic point-based system for spellcasting.

The game was positively received by critics and was commercially successful. It was voted the 22nd best game of all time by readers of the Japanese magazine Famitsu. 13 weeks after its release, Final Fantasy VIII had earned more than US$50 million in sales, making it the fastest-selling Final Fantasy title. The game has sold 8.15 million copies worldwide as of March 31, 2003.

Gameplay: Like Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII consists of three main modes of play: the world map, the field map, and the battle screen. The world map is a 3D display in which the player may navigate freely across a small-scale rendering of the game world. Characters travel across the world map in a variety of ways, including by foot, car, Chocobo, train, and airship. The field map consists of controllable 3D characters overlaid on one or more 2D pre-rendered backgrounds, which represent environmental locations such as towns or forests. The battle screen is a 3D model of a location such as a street or room, where turn-based fights between playable characters and CPU-controlled enemies take place. The interface is menu-driven, as in previous titles, but with the typical weapon and armor systems removed and new features present, such as the Junction system. Also featured is a collectible card-based minigame called "Triple Triad".

Tales of Phantasia (PSX)

Tales of Phantasia was remade three years after its SFC release, for the Sony PlayStation (PS1). The remake runs on an enhanced Tales of Destiny engine and benefits from all the enhancements and refinements to the gameplay it had to offer. For example, Chester, who relied on brute force in the Super Famicom version, was given nine TP-consuming moves, which carried over into future remakes. Also carried over from Tales of Destiny was the voice-acted face chats (skits), but now the user simply needs to push select on the world map to see them, rather than stand still for awhile on the world map as in ToD. In addition, it gave birth to many new features still seen (and being improved upon) in modern Tales sequels today, such as cooking, and titles. As in Tales of Destiny, you have the ability to control any party member (as well as take Cless, the hero, out of the fighting party). Many other changes, such as adding a fully animated anime style opening sequence, new sidequests, new spells, a new summon, a new playable character, and a more player-friendly battle encounter rate were also made. The audio was remastered at a higher quality with additional channels.

Tales of Destiny (PSP)

The game begins when country-boy-turned-adventurer Stahn Aileron, who seeks fame and adventure, sneaks aboard the flying ship Draconis as a stowaway. He is found out by the crew and forced to work as a deckhand, but when a large hostile force attacks the ship, the crew is overwhelmed and Stahn breaks free during the ensuing chaos. Looking for a usable weapon to fend off the attackers, he gains access to a storeroom and discovers a "junk" sword. However, the sword starts talking to him, calling itself Dymlos and claiming to be a sentient Swordian from the Aeth'er Wars. Armed with Dymlos, Stahn fights his way to an escape pod, which he uses to escape the rapidly descending ship before it crashes into the ground.

Dymlos becomes the key to the fame, fortune, and adventure Stahn seeks as the young man meets other Swordians, quickly becoming embroiled in a battle for a relic of the Aeth'er Wars: a huge, extremely powerful Lens called the Eye of Atamoni.

'Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions' allows players to recruit legendary characters to their party of heroes, including Balthier from 'FINAL FANTASY XII'. With 22 different jobs, over 400 different abilities, wireless melee and co-op missions, no two battles should ever be the same.

A year has passed since the loss of the Fifty Years' War. The prince, though but two years of age, has ascended the throne, his father having been claimed by sudden malady. Too young to rule, the prince requires a regent, who would be king in all but name. The queen's brother, Duke Larg, had seemed the obvious choice for the regency. However, fearing the influence such an appointment would give the queen, the Council refused to back him. Instead, they appointed the king's younger cousin, Duke Goltanna, as regent.

Duke Goltanna and Duke Larg were both generals who had distinguished themselves during the Fifty Years' War. Duke Goltanna counts as ally the greater part of the aristocracy loyal to the Crown. However, the fallen nobility and free knights left in the aftermath of the Fifty Years' War have aligned themselves with Duke Larg. With Duke Goltanna under the banner of the Black Lion, and Duke Larg under that of the White, the stage is set for what history would one day record as the War of the Lions.

Instructions on how to play:
Programs needed - Nero (burning software) or Daemon Tools (CD emulator)
Nero is simple, you burn each ISO (there should be a file called .iso) onto a disc.
then insert disc one into ur cd drive and voila, you got urself ff8

Daemon Tools (simpler and quicker)

then install it.
after installation, there should be a lil red icon in the tray on the bottom right of your screen, its a lil red lightning bolt goin thru a silver ball. right click it, virtual CD/DVD Rom, Device # * (# is a number and * is a drive letter eg, E:/ or F:/) then Mount Image, browse through to your file and then dbl click it. the auto run should start immediately and just repeat this process with the other discs wen needed.
you can choose to emulate many cds at once, but its recommended u only emulate 1 or 2.

Shogun Total War (PC)

Shogun: Total War (STW) is the first of Creative Assembly's "Total War" series. It is a history-based grand strategy computer game that combines turn-based provincial development with real-time battles. The player assumes the role of one of seven daimyos (Uesugi, Shimazu, Oda, Mori, Imagawa, Takeda, Hōjō) attempting to unite feudal Japan during the Sengoku Jidai period ("The Age of the Country at War") and become Shogun. Sun Tzu's The Art of War is central to the game; its precepts are quoted often and its strategies recommended.

Final Fantasy XII (PS2)

Final Fantasy XII (Fainaru Fantaj? Tuerubu?) is a console role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix Co., Ltd. for the Sony PlayStation 2 video game console, and the twelfth installment in the Final Fantasy video game series. It was released in 2006, and was the first single player Final Fantasy title of the main series in five years. Selling more than two million copies in Japan, it became the fourth best-selling PlayStation 2 game of 2006 worldwide.

The game takes place in the fictional world of Ivalice, where the empires of Archadia and Rozarria are waging an endless war. Dalmasca, a small kingdom, is caught between the warring nations. When Archadia invades and occupies Dalmasca, its princess, Ashe, creates a resistance movement. During the struggle, she meets Vaan, a young adventurer who dreams of commanding an airship. They are quickly joined by a band of allies; together, they rally against the tyranny of the Archadian Empire.

Final Fantasy XII introduced several innovations to the series: battles occur without a transition to a separate screen; a "gambit" system automatically controls the actions of characters; and a "license" system determines which abilities and equipment are used by characters.Final Fantasy XII also includes elements from previous games in the series, such as summoned monsters, Chocobos, and airships. The game received universally high scores, and earned the title of "Game of the Year" from several video game publications. A sidestory, Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings, is slated to be released on the Nintendo DS.
