the good thing about working from home (or so t'was what i'd always imagined eons ago) was that you'd be able to cut-down on the hassle of travel-time. /// READ MORE HEREthe bad thing about working from home, is that i'd wake up and hit the floor running ... i'll be online even before i brush my teeth and/or wash my face (ie: traditional daily morning wake-up rituals) ... sometimes doing so

wonky is as wonky does and an amateur's guide to blog reconfiguration
i'd like to say it was a thoroughly "enriching" experience, re-configuring my blog from scratch ... but i'd only be lying./// READ THE REST HERE tis easy to lie perpetuate a white-lie, especially online ... you spin fables where once facts existed and create fiction from the mundaneness of a utilitarian act, such as reconfiguring a blog. well, the fact is; it was a real pain-in-the-ass. and

it's all gone wonkydonkey, innit?
why? becoz in a moment's fleeting madness (actually i lie - the insanity lasted the entire sunday), i'd gone and clicked on the UPGRADE TEMPLATE-button and poof!/// READ MORE HERE... at exactly 2AM on a Monday morning (i know tis 2am becoz right after clicking and seeing my blog, i logged-off and went for a nice cold shower to attempt to cleanse my inane luck, thank yew very much) ... *

DISTRACTIONS- tis ironic ... just when i've decided to blog full-time and devote my next journey in life to all-things TOYS - in the midst of my mind gearing-up for the upcoming toy-works to be done, distractions inevitably emerge = offers from my "previous" dayjob comes flooding back in, with another feature waiting in the wings and another short film project; to distract me from my current "

/// turned out to be a working-sunday, with my eyes literally crossing at the end of uploading my yahoo-photo albums unto my multiply ... but t'was a slightly bittersweet cyber-trip down memory lane, what with images going as far back as 2002 and a staunch realization i didn't really bother with "white balance" (a tv production term, really :p) for all of my toy-images, so everything was heavily

one of the most enjoyable Father's Day dinners i've had as far as i can remember, with boisterous conversation all around, bolstered by a better understanding of each other in our family of five, together with good food, made this an exceptional day indeed :)(and yes, we had it a day earlier, to beat the Sunday-crowd LOL) ... and with this, here's wishing all Fathers a very Happy Father's Day!btw

a massive blog-catch-up day. jumped out of bed in the wee early afternoon (heh) felt as if i was late for production (an unfortunate residual side-effect from every shoot i've been on, for the past decade or so dammit LOL) and the next thing i knew, i was juggling multiple tasks on my wee Mac ... *more after the jump*- trying to upload and provide descriptions for my newly-uploaded photo-albums

the disturbing thing is; i have become increasingly ineffective on-jobs when im tired, and i utterly hate being ineffective. but there's very little that can be done about the lack of sleep+rest when production jobs come'a knockin' ... comes with advanced-age i guess ;pthe funny thing is; (unfortunately) i've been known (in the "past") to be a tad hot-tempered on set (ie: "production shoot") ..

day's end 10 june 2007: so long, farewell ... maybe
no i'm not stopping blogging, nor am i on the verge of deleting this blog ... no, nothing as dramatic as the title seems, but i've been experiencing extremely heavy loading/posting problems with blogger and my sitemeter has suddenly ceased to exist. (tis been two days now) ... now, either my Mac is seriously down with a bug, or i've a funny feeling my online-life is being quietly and

what i like about props-sourcing/buying:always different things to see and find ... and along the way, you might discover things you might not have noticed before. a journey of discovery, everytime. *more after the jump*what i dislike hate about props-sourcing/buying:01. things you've seen before are either sold-out (especially when you need them the most) or did not even exist (becoz they were

the good news: after the long wait and HEROES-dry-spell, Episode 19 finally showed on cable wednesday (last) night ... sometimes it takes time for "destiny" to catch up ... :)*more whinging after the jump*the bad news: the telly has been on the fritz. switch on the googlebox and within 8-10 minutes - the sound goes total static-wonky, then off the telly for a 5-10 minute rest, then on again ...

about battlestar galactica season 2.5
and there i was, holding my breath in trepidation to find out if Commander Adama survived the assassination by the Sharon-Cylon, and WTF Baltar and Six were looking at in the baby crib, on Cobol, in Season 1's cliffhanger ... yes, i succumbed. i dug deep into my pathetic finances and decided that i could do without eating-out and toys for the next month (or two) ... and thusly trudged home with

... the thing about keeping long-(ish) hair, is not that it makes me look good (becoz as folks around me have unfailingly exclaimed; they certainly do not ggrrrr) - but becoz it (sorta) makes me feel good, in a quasi-rebellious roundabout-way, in that becoz i simply can ... and that there's no one around that can tell me any differently. i reckon in certain warped-respects, since i cannot

do you know what's on my mind, these long, late nights? past the hour of midnight and the sound of whatever dvd-movie is playing, fighting to be heard over the growl of thy hungry tum? chips.salt-sea vinegar. onion and garlic. nacho cheese. heck, even good ol' fashioned BBQ. salted popcorn with melted butter - only in cinemas (or whenever there's a fab movie playing) ... all washed down by a

truth be told, i have considered adding online ads (ie: google ads) unto this blog, at the very least it might help with the defraying of "cost of operations" (as opposed to actually having to work for a living and be away from the blog LOL)but frankly, one of the main reasons (besides stubbornly trying to keep this a "non-commercial" blog) is that generally the ads are ugly. effin' eye-sores on
