Amuri in Star Ocean [RMVB] [sub]

In 2012, a period of solar flares caused much skin cancer and other effects on Earth. Many unusual babies were born, with extremely strong and adaptable physical characteristics. They were known as "Adapters."

In order to deal with the general crisis, a new world government arose, called Region Free. Their task was to protect people from the radiation and learn to deal with the new kind of humans.

Adapters had such extraordinary physical abilities as being able to live in the hard vacuum of space, at least for a while. They were therefore recruited for work in space.

A new calendar was adopted, with the year 2012 now called year one of the "Insoniti Reform Era." Except for the humor, I can't explain why the producers of the show used this term, which appears to be a romanized version of "insanity." In the translation, I just called it the New Age. The words "Insanity Evolution" appear on a Region Free logo in the episode.

The story centers around a 13-year-old Adapter called Amuri. Her special physical characteristic is a "repulsion allergy" that causes her to repel physical contact of any kind. Her mother died when she was born, because of her allergy. She was never able to touch anyone, including the grandmother who brought her up. Even her clothes had to be made from a product called S.K.In, which was created from her own cells. She was always an outcast at school. As the episode begins, Amuri is arriving at the Pink Coral space station, to begin working in space....
