The alternate China that this series takes place in is being torn apart by legions of heroic warriors fighting for political supremacy. During a battle between the Wei army and the Wu King Hakufu Sonsaku a wave of Sonsaku’s magic power washes over a young man named Hakugen Rikusin and his master Komei Shokatsuryo, who happened to be traveling nearby. The magic triggers a long forgaotten memory in Hakugen, who suddenly realizes that Sonsaku’s power stems from a magical heirloom stolen from his family- and that Sonsaku mudered Hakugen’s father to get it! Hakugen has every right to hate Sonsaku, but when Komei dies, the Masters last request is for Hakugen to go and serve Sonsaku. Bewilderd and upset, Hakugen sets out for the Kingdom of Wu in hopes of discovering why….
